Rano Pastikan Respons Cepat Penanganan Kebakaran Bukit Duri

Rano Ensures Swift Action in Bukit Duri Fire Handling

Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno has ensured quick responses to the fire incident on Jalan Kutilang, RW 02, Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta.

"That means all agencies are already in motion,"

Rano said he was unsure whether he would visit the fire site today, noting that his presence could potentially disrupt the response efforts due to crowd congestion.

“Sometimes when I show up at places like that, instead of helping, it causes commotion. I understand the public may be eager to welcome me, and I appreciate that. However, I am closely monitoring the situation remotely," he said after attending the Cilandak Berbudaya event on Saturday (7/19).

He emphasized that all related agencies had acted swiftly without waiting for instructions. According to him, fire response in Jakarta has become more automatic and well-coordinated.

"That means all agencies are already in motion, no need for further instructions. They know what to do," he added.

Rano stated that he would consider visiting once conditions on site have settled, to ensure everything is running optimally.

"It's probably best to come when the situation has calmed a bit, so we don't disrupt ongoing operations. That's the point," he concluded.

Previously reported, 20 fire trucks were deployed to put out the blaze. The fire was reported at 6:21 AM and was brought under control by 7:00 AM, followed by a cooling-down phase.

According to the latest data, 30 individuals were affected, and four fatalities have been confirmed
